• Committed to recovering range lost to cattle ranchers and preventing rainforest destruction, Astrid often works alone in stalking and terminating human threats in her domain. 

  • Known as "jaguars", their name comes from the indigenous people's term of "yaguara", which loosely translated means "the beast who kills it prey in one bound".  The rain forests of South America are their strongholds and her kind is also fond of various waterways for much of their hunting.  Exploitation and deforestation of the rain forests for cattle lands and tropical hardwood lumber has put jaguars at odds with ranchers and lumber industries. These exploitive and short sighted human actions has created great harm and damage to the ecology of this region.  The lasting damaging effects to the entire world from the destruction of the rain forests will be felt for generations to come.  Significant reduction in natural oxygen production and the loss of the rich pharmacopoeias from natural tropical flora may never be known.

• Astrid is an expert at tracking and stalking.  Her excellent night vision, stealth and natural camouflage allows her to penetrate deep into enemy territory while on night patrol.  Moving most quickly as a solitary unit, Astrid provides advanced ground recon for her other I.W.G. team members.  Highly skilled with small arms, her own claws and fangs, she loves to get in very close for her kills.  Because of Astrid's affinity for close quarter combat (CQC) she has great respect for Affonso's penchant for similar engagements, even though their techniques are almost opposites of each other.  Cool, calm, and collected she is the picture of grace under fire and quick to jump in where she is needed during group engagements with other team members.  During her spare time she concocts various compounds and potions from the jungle flora  which she stocks up in the mobile I.W.G. hospital.  Some of her potions are hallucinogenic which she uses for her visions.  Astrid also has the unique ability to change the spots on her fur which allows her to communicate with Irra who can read her coded messages from the air.
