• Irra's natural range can cover Alberta, Canada down to the South Western USA and maybe even Mexico.  Their wintering location is still something of a mystery.  Irra is committed to recovering her kind's wide range and hunting grounds.

  • Cultivation and development have significantly reduced the owls' habitat. Burrowing owls require open areas with low ground cover, existing burrows and abundant food -- all of which are threatened on the prairies. Owls rely entirely on burrowing animals for their nests, and many of these animals are exterminated as pests. Burrowing owls have also been killed accidentally as a result of poison programs aimed at pests and insects.

• Irra's favorite method of attack is of course from the air.  She will often use various ordnance to obliterate her foes.  When working with other IWG team members it is Irra's mission to provide air cover and reconnaissance.  Her excellent night eye sight makes her invaluable for intelligence gathering and covert operations. Irra often works with Ocho and Astrid for special operations under the cover of darkness.  On her off time she loves to create her cozy burrows with homey touches like beaded curtains and plaid table cloths.
